Overview

Quick Views give users the ability to create and save filtered and sorted data tables for easy future reference. This allows the creation, both by Liongard and users, of data tables that align to specific use cases.

Quick Views are shared across systems. Creating a Quick View for a data table in one system will make that Quick View available for all systems of that System Type.

Quick View Use Case

For example, the Active Directory "Users" table can be filtered into a state to only display Privileged Users. This filter can then be saved as the “Active Directory Privileged Users Quick View" to be referenced easily at any time.

Quick View Permissions

Any user who has permission to view System Details can create, edit, and delete their own Quick View. Any user who has permission to view System Details can view all the Quick Views created for that system. Global Administrators are able to edit and delete any Quick Views.

Accessing Quick Views

To access Quick Views, navigate to a System's System Details screen (Dashboard > System > Click into a System Type > Click into a System Name).

In the lefthand sidebar, Quick Views can be accessed under "Reporting & Metrics." Here you will see all Quick Views created for this system, including those created by Liongard and your users.

Quick Views are built based on the data tables found in the Data View tabs. Quick Views can be created for any Data View tab that has a filterable, sortable table.

How to Build a Quick View

Quick Views can be built for any Data View tab that has a filterable, sortable table.

Build a New Quick View

1. To create a Quick View, navigate to the desired Data View tab on the System Details screen.

2. Filter and sort the data table to meet your needs.

3. Select Save View
4. Give the Quick View a Title and, optionally, a description. Select Save.

Build a Quick View from another Quick View

1. To create a Quick View from another Quick View, navigate to the desired Data View tab on the System Details screen.
2. Using the Quick View dropdown, select a saved Quick View. This will apply the Quick View to the data table.

3. Edit the table filters and/or sort to meet your needs.
4. Select Save As.
5. Give the Quick View a Title and, optionally, a description. Select Save.

How to Use a Liongard Quick View

There are several Liongard Quick Views built into the Liongard platform. Liongard-built Quick Views have a Liongard logo next to the title in the Quick Views dropdown.
