Uninstalling the Windows Agent
Preserve MSI for Uninstall
Uninstalling via the MSI-installed Agent, via command line, or RMM requires the version of the MSI used to install the Agent originally, so we recommend keeping that file in place.
If you don't have the original MSI, you can uninstall the Agent via the Windows Add/Remove Programs method, or by upgrading your current MSI by running the latest version of the MSI from Liongard (when you run the current MSI, it will prompt you with a Repair option). Then you can uninstall the Agent using the previously updated version of the MSI.
Removing an Agent in Liongard
Uninstalling an Agent does not remove the Agent from Liongard itself. You can do that in Liongard by navigating to Admin > Agents > select the three dots next to the Agent that you would like to remove > select Delete
Uninstall via the MSI
A Liongard Agent installed from the MSI can be removed via the MSI. Run the current MSI again and you will be prompted with Uninstall options.
Uninstall via Windows Add/Remove Programs
Navigate to the Control Panel
- Under Programs, select Uninstall a program
- Right click on Liongard Agent and select Uninstall
Reboot Is NOT Required
When uninstalling you may be prompted about the server requiring a reboot. This is NOT required, simply click to continue when prompted.
Uninstall via the Command Line
msiexec /x LiongardAgent-lts.msi /qn
Uninstall of Agent Installed via PowerShell
If you have older Agents in the field that were installed with our old PowerShell-based installer script, they can be uninstalled using the MSI by running the MSI once to upgrade the Agent, placing it under the management of the MSI install tools, then running the MSI again and selecting the Uninstall option.
