Overview

Environment Group Permissions and User Role Management Enhancements

Liongard has introduced a major enhancement to its user permissions and management system. Administrators can now streamline access control by consolidating permissions into five roles and grouping environments for simplified management. This update reduces errors, ensures appropriate access levels, and adapts to organizational changes, enhancing security and efficiency through a much more intuitive user interface.


Notable Features:

  • Reduced Permission Roles: Liongard has simplified user permission management by reducing the need to manage permissions for each environment. Administrators can assign one of five roles to users and use environment groups for easier management. This standardization streamlines role assignment, ensuring appropriate access without the complexity of granular permissions.
  • Environment Groups: Administrators can now group environments for streamlined access management. Users can categorize environments by departments, projects, or locations, enabling easy, centralized control of permissions at the group level. This feature eliminates the need to manage permissions individually for each environment.
  • Flexible Environment Access Control: Liongard's enhanced user permissions allow administrators to customize access control based on organizational needs, easily managing group access, preventing internal system access, and assigning user roles to suit dynamic business requirements.
  • Enhanced User Interface: A new intuitive interface simplifies access management with easy role assignments and grouped environments.

Huntress Inspector Now in Production Status

This month, we also completed the Production release of the Huntress Inspector for Liongard, which allows you to seamlessly monitor Huntress agent statuses, alerts, and configuration change detections directly from Liongard. Moreover, this integration extends access to this critical information to non-admin users, ensuring that all team members stay informed about the security and status of Huntress agents.

The inspector includes:

  • Data-view table reports on agent statuses and host endpoint information
  • Summaries of key data-points to provide a simple snapshot of the state of deployed Huntress agents
  • Agent configuration data and changes going back up to 18 months for Huntress Agents installed on endpoints
  • Ability to alert and create tickets for changes related to endpoints with Huntress agents installed
  • New inspector metrics to track unresponsive huntress agents

Updated Data for Endpoint Detection & Response Tile in Cyber Risk Dashboard for Windows Workstations

The Endpoint Detection & Response for Windows Workstation tile in the Cyber Risk Dashboard will now provide a more accurate percentage gauge of protected devices and details of the EDR product on the tile drill-down table.

Platform and Feature Minor Updates and Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where logging out when the user has MFA enabled causes re-login attempts to excessively prompt for MFA code
  • Fixed an issue in SSO Certificate validation where some certificates were incorrectly marked as invalid and preventing users from logging in.
  • Fixed an issue on the Systems page where the breadcrumb search results were inconsistently empty
  • Fixed an issue on the Single Environment > Environment Admin page where the "Total Agents" tile and the "Agents Needing Attention" tile incorrectly displayed a value of zero
  • Performance improvements for page load times when editing an inspector.
  • Fixed a styling issue on the Discovery Dashboard when the horizontal grid lines were not visible in dark mode.
  • Fixed an issue on the Single Environment > Environment Admin > Agents page where clicking on the agent tiles redirected the user back to the Overview section instead of filtering the list of agents
  • Improved the load time on the System Details page when fetching change detections
  • Fixed an issue with the v1/launchpoints API endpoint that inconsistently filtered certain boolean values

  • IT Glue Integration
    • Fixed an issue causing the integrations page for IT Glue to crash due to a permissions error
  • Roar Inspector
    • Fixed an issue causing the HoursSinceLastHeartbeat field in the Roar Inspector to return a null value
  • Sonicwall
    • Fixed an issue preventing agent names from being displayed properly in some circumstances
  • Synology NAS
    • Fixed issue resulting in a false 404 not found error for misconfigured shares
  • Windows Server
    • Fixed an issue preventing some Windows Server inspectors from returning installed updates
