Overview

Windows Server Improvements

Liongard has made improvements to the Windows Server Inspector to be more reliable, performant and secure. These improvements allow data acquisition without the need for domain credentials. Just like our Workstation Inspector, simply install a Liongard Agent onto servers you wish to monitor and Liongard will take care of the rest.

With these improvements also come new datapoints:

  • Firewall Rules
  • Scheduled tasks
  • Processor & RAM
  • Local Groups
  • Network Diagnosis
  • Windows Defender
  • TPM Settings

In order to take advantage of these new datapoints, your Windows Server inspectors must be running their inspection locally.

Minor Updates and Bug Fixes

  • Expanded the Change Detection export capabilities to no longer limit to 1000 rows
  • Improved discovery capabilities that will recognize a discovered launchpoint that has been previously created. This prevents the creation of Inspector duplicates and eliminate the need for partners to manually archive those duplicate Inspectors
  • Improved the efficiency for bulk retrieval of Metric values via the API
  • Fixed an issue when exporting a report to Excel that prevented some Gradient metrics from being included in the export
  • Resolved an issue where alerts were not being unsilenced on the scheduled date when an alert rule was shared between service providers and one of those service providers has a misconfigured
    Integration.
  • Updated our export change detection API endpoint to allow for pagination
  • Resolved an issue where the 12 month and 18 month date filters were only returning 90 days worth of data when exporting change detections on the Single Environment Dashboard
  • Fixed an issue where navigating from one Environment's overview page to a different Environment's overview page would momentarily show the prior Environment's dashboard card values
  • Updating the wording around the ticket status sync checkbox on the ticketing integration page to make it more clear what the toggle is used for
  • Resolved an issue where alerts were not being unscilenced at their scheduled time due to an integration error
  • Resolved an issue where false positive change detections were being generated for the TTL field in DataPrint
  • Fixed a bug where removing one or more email destinations from an alert template would remove those emails from every alert template, rather than just the one being edited
  • Made improvements to the discoveries functionality to prevent duplicate discovered launch points from being created
  • Improved the error messaging from external integrations for partners to make it easier for users to troubleshoot the cause of the issue
