Updating Permissions Prior to Release 2020.4

Updating your ConnectWise Manage permissions as detailed below will not break your existing ticketing integration. We recommend making these changes prior to upgrading to ConnectWise Manage 2020.4 to ensure that there are no ticketing interuptions.

Next Steps: Update Permissions in ConnectWise

Prior to upgrading your ConnectWise instance to version 2020.4, take the following actions.

  1. In ConnectWise you will need to navigate to System > Security Roles and find the Security Role that you created for the Liongard API user. Clicking the Security Role will take you to the setup permissions table.

  2. Expand the Systems table and find the Table Setup entry. Click the Customize hyperlink.

  1. Your existing permissions allow access to Company / Configuration. This entry should be left in place.

  2. In the right-hand pane titled Disallow Access to these, select the following 5 entries and move each one to the Allow Access to these pane by clicking the single right arrow:

  • Company / Company Status
  • Company / Company Type
  • Sevice / Priority
  • Service / Service Board
  • Service / Source
Once complete, click the blue Save button at the bottom.
