Get Started

Auto-Discover Internet Domains with ConnectWise Manage

These instructions will assist you in using the ConnectWise Manage Inspector to Auto-Discover domains.

Install your ConnectWise Manage Inspector first

Once you've followed the documentation for the ConnectWise Manage Inspector, you're ready to begin!

Check your Domain inspector to see what Roar discovered

Once the ConnectWise Manage inspector runs, it will auto-discover any domains you have in the "Web Site" field under ConnectWise companies.

You can view what Roar pulls back in the Domains inspector.

Navigate to Admin > Inspectors > Internet Domains & DNS

You will see two tabs: Active Inspectors and Discovered Systems.

No Discovered Systems Yet? Wait for it...

If your ConnectWise Manage has a lot of data, the Roar inspector can take some time to load. If you don't see any Discovered Systems in the Domain inspector immediately, check back a little later!

Create inspectors from the Discovered Systems

  1. On the Discovered Systems tab in the Domain inspector screen, you will see a list of all the domains Roar find in your ConnectWise.

  2. In the Environment column, select the corresponding Roar Environment for each domain you want to inspect.

  3. Once you confirm the right Roar environment has been associated with each domain, click the checkbox on the left side of each row. Then select Actions > Activate Launchpoints. This will create Active Inspectors for each of these domains.

You will now see these domains in the Active Inspectors tab.

  1. You can archive any domains you do not want Roar to monitor using Actions > Archive Launchpoints.
